What is Yoga?

Yoga is a common term for physical, spiritual and mental disciplines which originated in ancient India. Ancient Yogis believed that in order for man to be in harmony with himself he has to integrate the body, mind and spirit. For these three to be integrated, emotion, action and intelligence must be in balance. The Yogis founded a way to achieve and maintain this by exercise, breathing and meditation.

Breathing techniques were developed based on the concept that breath is the source of life. By focusing on breathing, we are able to prepare our minds for the next step – meditation.

Yoga is also a fantastic way to quickly and gently tone your body. It has been proven over the years to relieve stress, muscle tension, sports injuries, back pain and many other conditions.
