Elongate, strengthen and restore the body to balance

What is Pilates?

Pilates was designed by Joseph Pilates and designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body to balance.

Pilates uses controlled movements, primarily focused in your “core” to build body strength, flexibility and endurance. It’s a body conditioning routine that won’t result in bulky muscles. Instead, the movements help to lengthen your muscles as it strengthens them.

This holistic approach sets Pilates apart from many other forms of exercise. Osteopaths, physiotherapists and general practitioners recommend Pilates as one of the safest forms of exercise. Pilates can benefit almost everyone regardless of age or fitness level.

“A few years ago I was learning to Ice Skate and needed to be more flexible and work on my core strength. I had a number of 121 bespoke pilates sessions with Tracey. I really enjoyed my sessions with her and loved her personable, friendly and approachable style of teaching.  Pilates really helped and when I need a 121 session I still go to Tracey.”
